About Our Company
MMA Digital was established in 2015 by parent Company MMA Architecture to meet the growing demand for specific BIM Management and Virtual Design services in the AEC sector.
MMA Digital working in a new and dynamic sector to facilitate BIM management including the ability to fulfil the requirements of complying with PAS 1192.
Mel McGerr MSc MCIAT C. BUILD E. MCABE BRE BIM AP Certified Passive House Designer
Mel is a Chartered Architectural Technologist who developed a deep understanding of BIM when studying for a Masters in Design Management. Mel became a Certified Revit Professional in 2011 and in 2015 attained BRE BIM Approved Professional status. Mel has given numerous talks to 3rd level Institutes as well as fellow professionals on the merits of BIM processes and the implementation of BIM in practice. Mel is also an external examiner for the Certificate in BIM at Letterkenny Institute of Technology.
Patrick MurphyBE MIEI
Patrick graduated from NUIG with an honours degree in Civil Environmental Engineering in 2003. He is a founding partner of Murphy + McGerr Architecture Ltd and MMA Digital. Patrick is a qualified Passive House Consultant, EPA Site Suitability Assessor, BER Assessor and has recently undertaken the BRE BIM Fundamentals course. Patrick has been an active Autodesk Revit user since 2009 and is an advocate of BIM.
Blair Adamson BSc. Arch (Hons) B.Arch. MRIAI
Blair graduated with a Bachelor in Architecture from Queen’s University, Belfast in 1999.Blair has worked for a number of architectural companies in Ireland and the UK, has opened his own practice, and was a partner of multidisciplinary practice in Athlone before joining Murphy + McGerr Architecture in October 2014. Blair is a Registered Architect and member of the Royal Institute of Architects of Ireland (RIAI). Blair is a Revit Architecture Certified Professional since 2013. He is a certified Passive House Designer and since 2015 is an Architect with Grade 3 Accreditation in Conservation.
Andy McNamara BSc Hons Arch Tech
Andy graduated from GMIT with a First Class Honours degree in Architectural Technology. He is currently mid-way through a taught Master’s Degree in Information Technology in Architecture, Engineering and Construction (MEngSc IT in AEC) at UCC. Previously, Andy has worked on the creation, maintenance and coordination of Level 2 BIM models for infrastructure (totalling over £450 million to date) while working to British Standards such as the PAS 1192 series & BS 1192:2007 + A1:2015.
Ian McAuley BSc Hons Arch Tech ACIAT Certified Passive House Designer
Ian an Architectural Technologist who joined Murphy + McGerr Architecture in June 2015. Ian received a First Class Honours Degree in Architectural Technology in 2014 from Robert Gordon University, Scotland. In early 2016 Ian became a Certified Passive house designer and is also currently progressing his knowledge in PHPP. Ian is currently an Associate member of CIAT and is developing his POP Records. Ian’s BIM modelling skills paired with his advanced knowledge of BIM content creation allows him to produce high quality, information rich models.
